VOSSO Pale Blue Silver Matariki necklace etched + enamelled

This necklace is etched and enamelled onto stg silver in a gorgeous powder blue colour, on a stg silver chain.

These necklaces are etched by hand into fine silver before a final finish of a polish, gold or enamel is applied.

Matariki is a treasured star cluster across geographic and cultural borders, it actually contains about 1000 stars although we can only see seven to nine.

To Māori, Matariki differs depending on their rohe or region. Some may see differing stars and some may not see it at all. 

To many, the rise of the star cluster marks the beginning of the new year. A time to reflect on the past year, celebrate the present and plan for the year to come.

This special cluster has deep significance for a lot of people, including the artist who spent many hours gazing into the heavens with her amateur astrologist father.
